The project aims to increase interest in tourism related to Jewish cultural heritage in Lublin. Its long-term goal is to create a high-quality tourism product that will leverage the historical and cultural potential of the region. The project's implementation is expected to create optimal conditions for the development of cultural tourism focusing on Jewish heritage.
The project has several specific goals. Primarily, it aims to provide decision-makers with a comprehensive portfolio of best practices that can be implemented in their cities or regions. Furthermore, the project aims to expand the knowledge and skills of decision-makers and stakeholders related to the valorization of cultural heritage. Another important goal is to strengthen relationships and exchange experiences between decision-makers and local stakeholders interested in the project's themes. Ultimately, the project aims to increase interest in tourism related to Jewish cultural heritage.
Activities implemented during the project include the establishment of Local Stakeholder Groups, the organization of regular meetings, discussion panels, and thematic workshops. Furthermore, the project involves developing a communication strategy and promoting its results, as well as conducting research on the tourism potential of Jewish heritage. One of the pilot activities is the "Jewish Memorialization Data Space – JeM-DS" initiative. Thematic workshops on "participatory cultural heritage management" and "innovative approaches to cultural heritage education" are also planned.
Project outcomes include the publication of collective research findings, the release of a short project film, the production and publication of e-newsletters, and the creation of a digital platform that will provide publications for tourists visiting Jewish heritage sites. Additionally, guides will be developed with instructions for further development of the project's tourism area.
