It’s both a walk and a live performance. Wandering through the streets of the city, we learn about its history and participants become spectators when the guide turns into a storyteller of Lublin legends and takes them on a journey through time. My original walk, which I have been taking privately for several years, always meets positive emotions, and is remembered for a long time.

 

The walk is unique because of its care about the culture of the living word – the way of narrating. The participant is not bored with hundreds of dates but he builds a picture of Lublin on the basis of memories, stories, own experiences, as well as literary texts. It is a story built over hundreds of years of the city’s culture, but shown in the form of a performance and a quotation. The walk will not include the characteristic words „he lived in this building …”, but you will rather hear „close your eyes and imagine when Kochanowski comes out of this tenement house and says …”.

During the walk many topics are taken up – the culture of the sacred, the profane, legends, parables, as well as ordinary urban myths. During our walk, we discover tragic and funny stories. Dramatic and coarse. Each stop is not historical information, but a meeting with history.

There are few guides who would show the city through literary texts, stories or parables. And this walk is built on these three elements.

For almost 10 years I have been associated with Lublin culture as an actor, animator and fire dancer. I participated in the organization of such festivals as Falkon Fantasy Festival, City of Poetry or Carnaval Sztukmistrzów. I have been passionate about Lublin, since my student days. On a daily basis, I run my own Artistic Agency and play one-actor theatre. I specialize in theatre and workshops with young people. In Lublin, I am captivated by the charm of stories and legends that constantly live and surround the city’s inhabitants. I show this kind of Lublin on my walks. I was a guide for the “Walk with the soul” program, an employee of the “Grodzka Gate — NN Theater” Center, and the president of the Lublin Fantasy Association “Citadel of Sirius”.
